9/1/2011 Noranco, Inc. acquired Stewart Machining and Jet Processing divisions of Premier Precision Group. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Stewart Machining and Jet Processing Divisions of Premier Precision Group provides aero-engine precision machine components, such as auxiliary power units, various housings, turbofan engines, and environmental control units and related special processing services for the commercial and military aerospace markets and are located in Phoenix, Arizona. (NYSE: MRX) for $35.0 million in cash. Medicis Pharmaceutical engages in the development and marketing of products for the treatment of dermatological and aesthetic conditions in the United States, Canada, and Europe and is based in Scottsdale, Arizona. Hogan Lovells US LLP served as legal advisor to Medicis Pharmaceutical.
9/19/2011 Selective Insurance Group Inc. (NasdaqGS: SIGI) signed an agreement to purchase Montpelier US Insurance Company from Montpelier Re U.S. Holdings Ltd. for $55.4 million in cash. 9/30/2011 Ecoland International Inc. (OTCBB: ECIT) signed a letter of intent to acquire D&R Technology Inc. from D Mecatronics Inc. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Ecoland International focuses on processing, packaging, and marketing Dry Bar Cave bat guano, an organic fertilizer, from deposits in Angola/Mozambique and is based in Chandler, Arizona.
